Mother's Rose Belly Salve is an easy to make treat that is the perfect Mother's Day treat. Make some this week and give it to the new moms and mothers-to-be in your life to help minimize and fade stretch marks. The rose aroma provided by pure rose essential oil is especially feminine and delicious. As a new mom, I enjoy Mother's Rose Belly Salve and made some as a gift for my cardio kick boxing instructor ... who at several months pregnant outlasts most of the class!

Ingredients: 1 teaspoon (about .02 ounces) lanolin 1/2 ounce rose hips seed oil 1 ounce  extra virgin olive oil 1/4 ounce (about .03 ounces) beeswax 2 drops rose essential oil

Blending Procedure:

1. Combine all ingredients except essential oil in a Pyrex measuring cup with a pour spout. Place the cup of ingredients in a hot water bath until the wax is nearly melted.
   
   
2. Once the wax is nearly melted, remove the cup from the water bath and stir with a clean utensil to ensure an even mixture.
   
   
3. Add essential oil when the mixture just barely begins to harden around the edges of the cup. Stir to incorporate.
   
   
4. Pour into jars and allow to cool before capping.
